Kia ora my sis
It is done. The Ka Hao i te Ao 2020 programme and the graduation wānanga are done! What a journey it has been mahi-ing alongside some of the most inspiring people I have ever met and some new friends and whānau too.
What's this programme you wander? It's a Global Indigenous E-commerce programme packed full of incredible learnings and resources to help you build your own e-commerce business.
Prior to applying for this opportunity I had had some experience in business but not very much, I had tried to launch websites before and not had the type of success I wanted, I had tried but probably not as hard as I would had I known what I was doing lol and I think that is the key thing I experienced here with Te Whare Hukahuka.
Their is unlimited potential in the ways that you can go on to experience success from this kaupapa.
I got to sit with the most clever and creative, hard working and resilient, fun and forward thinking, indigenous idealists; it was the type of experience I dreamed of in my moments of disconnection from myself, my whenua, my cultural identity and my people when I was stuck in my addiction.
I thank my tupuna everyday for the opportunities that I am privillieged to experience because of them and I am so grateful for Te Whare Hukahuka for this kaupapa which is now the beginning of a new hikoi for my whānau and I.
